At The Waters, we want our children fully engaged into the worship and sermon experience. We seek to keep all this precious information about God well within their reach. The Waters’ Children’s Sermon Notes Sheet (we call them SplashZone Kids Notes Sheet) are one of the ways we accomplish this.
At the beginning of every sermon, Clint, Our Lead Pastor, invites the children to come up to the front to get their special SplashZone Kids Notes Sheet. Clint will give little cues and pictures on the screen that pertain to the message. The children will then create drawings, copy words, and write parts of Bible verses to stay current with the message. They are encouraged from the beginning to end.
After service, parents are encouraged to send pictures of the kid’s SplashZone Kids Notes Sheets and post them to The Waters Facebook page. The following week, Clint will recognize the best one from the week before. Just a little way of saying “good job” to the kids, and the parents!
