At The Waters, we want our children fully engaged into the worship and sermon experience. We seek to keep all this precious information about God well within their reach. The Waters’ Children’s Sermon Notes Sheet (we call them Warm Fuzzies) are one of the ways we accomplish this.
At the beginning of every sermon, Clint, Our Lead Pastor, invites the children to come up to the front to get their special Warm Fuzzy Notes Sheet. Clint will give little cues and pictures on the screen that pertain to the message. The children will then create drawings, copy words, and write parts of Bible verses to stay current with the message. They are encouraged from the beginning to end.
At the conclusion of the service, during the offering time, the kids come back up to the front and show their notes and drawings to our Warm Fuzzy coordinator, Sandy Woodhouse. Mrs. Woodhouse then places little stickers on the sheets and gives the child the Warm Fuzzy for the day (a little piece of candy, small toy, etc.) The parents are instructed to place this notes sheet on the refrigerator at home to encourage sermon discussions throughout the week.
The Waters’ Warm Fuzzy Notes Sheet… because kids make waves too!
