The Waters Church

We have been making a few changes in the Splash Kids Ministry to make things more efficient and even more safe, for our permanent teachers, volunteers and especially our kiddos.  For more information, visit the Kid Check page.

Sunday, January 29th, we will have a Baptism service at Faith West following our regular Worship service.  Faith West is located behind Seven Oaks, future Waters Church location.  The address is 2225 Porter Road, Katy, TX  77493.  For those interested in being baptized, please fill out the form.  You will be contacted for additional information and instructions.

Sunday, January 22nd, we will have our baby dedication cermony after the music service.  If you would like to be included in this ceremony, please give us your information  on the following form.

Are you a mom that is home during the day?  Do you crave community with other moms who can relate to you? Come join us as we dive into God’s Word and experience community with one another, in what can sometimes be a very lonely time of life.

A.R.M Month* Begins This Sunday!

We are proud of our church for many reasons.  One of the biggest is what we call A.R.M.;  Annually Renewable Memberships.  Every year we wipe clean our membership rolls and provide our entire church family with a great opportunity to renew their memberships for another year.

You don’t want to miss this special service as Pastor Clint walks us through our unique Membership Covenant.  You’ll love it.

*This Membership Renewal event lasts for the entire month of December.  This allows for everyone in our church to have the opportunity to renew their memberships.

This Sunday there will be no 9:30 activities. Instead, come to church at 10:30 ready for a special Thanksgiving message!

H2O will be sponsoring a church wide Thanksgiving dinner. Bring your favorite Thanksgiving dish and come have a meal with the church! H2O will provide the turkey / ham as well as all the dinnerware.

We are so excited to start this new ministry with the Water’s Church. God put on our hearts a few months ago the idea of taking His Love and making it real and tangible for the people around us and this is what this ministry is all about.  We want to do what we can to help out people around us by doing things like fixing up their homes or doing yard work (community acts of kindness).  Many of the projects will be lead by the churches Life Groups but we want all church members to know they are invited.  If you aren’t already a member of a life group this is a great opportunity to check out the groups, see what they are like.  We want to also encourage everyone to participate in life groups.  Our life group has been a very important part of our growth in our walk at this church.  They encourage us and challenge us in new ways each week and this will be one more way for us all to grow together.

Our first project will be on Saturday October 1,  we will meet at 8:00 AM and work until around lunch time.  We will be working in Shirley Cleland’s yard, weeding her beds and trimming her trees. The King Life Group will be leading this project, but everyone is invited to come help.  Please contact Melissa Wagner, 806-440-1279, melissa@the-wagners.net if you would like to attend or have tools such as tree saws or ladders that you might be willing to loan us.  Thank you all so much.  We are so excited to see what God does, in all of us through this ministry.

Lets go make some WAVES!

As you many of you know, the area surrounding the greater Houston area (and beyond) have been ravaged by wildfires, brought on by extreme drought conditions.  Our brothers and sisters are suffering, many of them driven from their homes, and still more have lost everything.  We have an opportunity to reach out to these people in a big way.

The Houston area has stepped up big time, overwhelming distribution centers with donations.  Because of this, we are asking that NO PHYSICAL GOODS be donated.  Instead, please bring gift cards in any amount to church on Sunday (Walmart cards are preferred). PLEASE, clearly label the gift cards with the amount they are worth. We have an incredible opportunity to reach out with the love of Christ to the people that are suffering.  Waters Church, lets make some WAVES!
