What’s in a Name?

Your nameWhat’s in a name? Man, if I had a nickle for the times I heard my Grandfather tell me, Your name is EVERYTHING! He not only believed it, he lived it.

I can remember driving around town and running errands with my Pe-paw. It didn’t matter if we were at the Dairy Queen or the local bank, everyone knew him and referred to him as Mr. Marina. I thought it was cool that people called him Mr. Marina. I always thought to myself, “why didn’t they call the man before him Mr. whatever,” or the man after him? My Grandfather worked hard for his name & he was proud of it. [Read more...]

Boneheads

One of the most important considerations when dealing with people who like “drama” in their life, (I know you’re thinking about someone right now, I call them boneheads) is to reflect on where they fit in your life . Based upon this, you can decide what interactions you’re willing to have with that person, and which you aren’t. Why We Are Different

Isaiah 55:1 Come, all who are thirsty, come to the waters.

Welcome to church as real as it gets. Our desire today is to impress you…but not really with what we do. We are only here today because of what God has done in our lives. And we think that what you’ll find here is pretty impressive. There are people here today who used to be total train wrecks before God changed them; addicts, self indulged hypocrites, arrogant self promoters, haters, hermits,…and that’s just our pastors!

We want to welcome you to a place where you don’t have to pretend to be someone that you’re not, where the pastors aren’t impressed with themselves, and where you don’t have to hide your tattoos. For some of you today, it will be a “welcome home”.

And remember…No Perfect People Allowed. Welcome to The Waters!
