Kid Check

We have been making a few changes in the Splash Kids Ministry to make things more efficient and even more safe, for our permanent teachers, volunteers and especially our kiddos.

This Sunday we will be implementing one more HUGE improvement to our Sunday morning check-in process. We are working towards a more thorough system that will help us do the following:

  • Keep track of and protect our kids
  • Make our check in much more efficient and quicker
  • Also allow us to keep up with our volunteers in the Splash Kids Ministry
  • The program we will be using is a web based system called Kid Check.

We will be initiating this program this Sunday, Feb 5th. In order to keep this transition as smooth as possible, we are asking that all parents and all volunteers create a profile with Kid Check at www.kidcheck.com.

HERE’S HOW YOU SIGN UP:

  1. Log into kidcheck.com,
  2. Click on the Sign Up tab
  3. Click on the I’m a Parent, Guardian, Employee, or Volunteer link
  4. Fill out all required information. (infants – 5th grade only)
  5. After this information is filled out and submitted, we will get you and your child’s information.

Our goal is for you to walk into church and scan your kids profile number on our new scanner. That will then produce a safe, secure, identification label for you, your kid and our workers. We will automatically know if your kid(s) has any allergies or if there is any specific information or instructions our volunteers / teachers need to know about, based on the information you provide when filling out your individual profile.

This is a free service to you and the information is used by The Waters Church alone.

Sunday morning, if you have not yet created a Kid Check profile, we will ask you to at that time. We will have a few laptops ready to go and available for you to use. We do ask that you give us a couple of weeks to get the kinks worked out, after that we should be good to go!

All kids from infants to 5th grade, will need to be checked in starting this Sunday (no exceptions) along with anyone who will be helping with the Splash Kids Ministry.

So again, if at all possible, please try to get your accounts created ahead of time to avoid having to do it Sunday morning. The more people that wait until Sunday, the more it will cause the process to move much much slower.

I personally appreciate the cooperation from everyone as we are implementing these changes. This will make us so much more efficient but most of all, provide us with the best safety measures for the kids and their families. Hopefully, no more bogged down lines for check in, YEA!

P.S. – Don’t forget, your kids need to be in Sunday School at 9:30 a.m. – no later than 9:45 A.M. – to help us, help our teachers. If for some reason you can’t, please keep them with you until our 10:30 a.m. hour starts.

For the 10:30 hour, we ask that all kids are checked in and participating at the beginning instead of after the praise portion of the service. This is to allow the kids to be involved with the program designed for them.
